Project Overview

For Shady Pines, the goal was to create a refined, welcoming kitchen that balances classic craftsmanship with modern functionality. Deep navy cabinetry anchors the space, while crisp white upper cabinets and warm brass accents introduce contrast and brightness.

At the centre of the kitchen, an oversized walnut island adds warmth and richness to the design. Topped with a seamless quartz surface, the island provides generous prep space, casual seating, and extensive storage through integrated drawer systems and custom cabinetry.

The cooking wall becomes a focal point, featuring a full-height backsplash framed by a custom range hood accented with brass detailing. Glass-front display cabinets with integrated lighting add visual interest while offering elegant storage for everyday pieces.

Throughout the kitchen, thoughtful storage solutions were carefully incorporated — including a pull-out spice organizer beside the range, concealed recycling and waste systems, custom knife storage, and deep drawers designed to keep cookware organized and accessible.

Beyond the kitchen, custom millwork extends into the adjoining living spaces with a built-in beverage bar and glass display cabinetry, creating a cohesive design that flows throughout the home.

Every element at Shady Pines was designed with both beauty and practicality in mind, resulting in a timeless kitchen that feels warm, functional, and crafted for everyday living.
